ICAP to hold 22nd annual global Charity Day on Wednesday, 3 December 2014

London, 1 December 2014 – ICAP plc (IAP.L), a leading markets operator and provider of post trade risk mitigation and information services, announces today that it will hold its 22nd annual global Charity Day on Wednesday, 3 December 2014. On this day, 100% of ICAP's revenues and commissions generated globally will be donated to more than 200 charities worldwide.

Since Charity Day was launched in 1993, ICAP has raised more than £110 million for over 1,600 charities worldwide. In 2013 alone, £9.5 million was raised by ICAP’s 60 plus offices globally, for over 200 charitable projects. This equates to 3% of ICAP's full year pre-tax profit for Full Year 2013/2014.

This year, Charity Day will again be raising funds for another 200 charities globally, of which 14 are UK charities. On the day, these charities will be joined by their celebrity patrons who will speak directly to ICAP's customers on the phone to close deals, boosting trading volumes in the process. This year, His Royal Highness Prince Harry will be attending Charity Day in support of the Rugby Football Foundation. The full list of celebrities attending will be announced on the day. In the past, His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales and His Royal Highness The Duke of Cambridge, Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Damian Lewis, Boris Johnson, Mo Farah, Matthew McConaughey, Halle Berry and many other distinguished guests have attended to lend their support to ICAP and its charities.
