ICAP’s 25th annual global Charity Day raises £4.7m

London, New York, Singapore, December 6, 2017: ICAP, part of TP ICAP group, the world’s largest interdealer broker, is today pleased to announce that it raised £4.7 million on its 25th annual global Charity Day, held yesterday.

On Charity Day, 100% of ICAP’s revenues and brokers’ commissions go directly to charities. This year, ICAP supported more than 100 charities globally, having supported more than 2,200 charities since the first Charity Day in 1993.

Guests this year included Her Royal Highness, The Duchess of Cornwall, who attended Charity Day in London in support of Medical Detection Dogs, of which The Duchess is a patron. She was joined by others including Bill Nighy, Rio Ferdinand and Gemma Arterton.

John Phizackerley, Group Chief Executive Officer, TP ICAP, said: “I’m delighted to see that ICAP Charity Day raised £4.7 million yesterday, bringing the total amount raised in 25 years to almost £140 million. This would not have been possible without the ongoing support of our customers, employees, suppliers and our guests.

“I would like to thank them all for their dedication and goodwill on behalf of ICAP and our charities. The amount raised will make a material difference to hundreds of charities around the world. We look forward to continuing to raise funds for much needed projects and initiatives in the next chapter for Charity Day. ”
